party OBSESSED!!

Well I have become OBSESSED with thinking about Kiley's party!  I have narrowed down my colors and have a little theme to incorporate! I can not wait!   I will post pictures of  what her bow will be like, a cross between these 2 but in her 4 colors (pink/lime green/ purple and aqua) !!! I AM SO EXCITED

Party Planning!

I have started the thought process for Kiley's 1st birthday!! It is amazing to think it is about 2 months away, which I am sure the 2 months will fly by!  Even just thinking about the 1st birthday has me overwhelmed, but it is going to be SO MUCH FUN! I can not wait!  Today I decided that I am not going to do a theme per say, but I am going to stick to a color theme..the colors i am thinking are hot pink, purple, lime green and aqua....her outfit I plan on having her wear is my inspiration! :)  But that will be a surprise for party day!  We will more then likely have 2 parties, one out here in IL and one back in WDM...that way we can have all of who love little K  be a part of her special day!!

9 months!

We are officially 3/4 done with Kiley's 1st year of life.  Where did that time go? It is just amazing how much she has changed over this past 9 month!  She is such a joy to be around and every single day is better then the day before. 

A little about Kiley at 9 months:
* weighs in at 20lbs 11 oz (75th percentile)
*stands "tall" at 27 inches (25th percentile)
*loves to clap!
*still have NO teeth yet
*eats 2-3 baby food meals a day, still nurses (and has a few bottles of formula a week to supplement my lack of supply when it comes to pumping)
*loves snacks (puffs, yogurt melts, baby mum mums,  baby cookies/cheetos (as i call them)  and every other baby snack that Gerber makes!
*says "mamamama" and "dadadadada"
*is somewhat in the stanger anxiety phase (especially if I am around she ONLY wants me)
*army crawls and rolls her self around the place, still not hands and knees crawling (I think she may skip that step all together and just start walking)
*will "walk" when you hold her arms and walk around with her
*is still very much obsessed with her dinasour she rides
*LOVES LOVES LOVES bath time!



She is just perfect and we love every part of her!  Everyday keeps getting better with our sweet little k!

05.19.11

Well I should be accomplishing things instead of sitting in front of the computer wasting time, but I feel drained today!  Kiley had a morning of wanting to be held ALL OF THE TIME.  Great to get a little more snuggle time in with her, but bad because it took me over 3 hours to get ready because of this!  Oh well she is doing better this afternoon, and now she is occupied in her jumperoo watching Baby Einstein dvds.  Thank god for those dvds, she loves them! 

This week I have been prepping Kiley's summer wardrobe, which is MASSIVE.  The girl is way better dressed then me is all I have to say!

3 months since my last post!

Wow, it has been 3 months since I last blogged!  Crazy! I knew I had put it off for some time but didn't figure it to be that long.  Well I guess it has been a hectic few months.  Since my last post Kiley has had her 6, 7, and 8 month photo shoot! And this weekend will be her 9 month!  Well maybe I will make this post a catch up of her monthly photo shoots...

Well I have fallend behind in my hopes of keeping up with this blog, its been over two weeks since my last post.  Here is to hoping I don't fall so behind again!  In my defense it has been a couple of busy weeks for me, over Valentines Day, I helped out in the floral shop (at hy-vee) a couple of days.  And then last week I had to fill in at work a few extra days, because one of the girls was out sick(crossing our fingers that no one else gets it!) 

We had such great weather this past week, but I knew that it wasn't going to last forever.  And I am actually kind of glad today is rainy and icky out, because it gives us a chance to stay in and be lazy!  We started our morning out with church (@ 8:00!)   After that Kyle headed off to Hy-Vee (of course!) to have breakfast, while I finished getting ready to meet Hailee and the rest of her bridesmaids at Brandy's for brunch!  The food was delicious (crunchy french toast it what I chose---yummm!)  and were able to get a few ideas/plans together for her bridal shower and bachelorette party. Crazy how fast those events will be here!

Well this week will probably be just as crazy, we will be leaving Thursday night to head back to wdm, then leaving from there Friday (with my parents and Katy) to head to Manhattan, KS for the weekend!  Ali (a.k.a. Pip) is in a sorority at Kansas State Univeristy, and they are having "mom's weekend.  So Kiley and I will join my mom and Ali at that event!  also we will catch the KSU basketball game!  Very excited to see the family--brother John is also heading up for the weekend from Whicita!

a BIG week for little K

Well not only has little K been sleeping in her crib (and doing it so well!)  She has also started eating baby food!   Her doctor gave us the ok to start veggies first, then fruits once she has gone through all of the veggies.  And to also continue with the cereal..so one cereal feeding a day and one baby food feeding.   Well Kiley still isn't too fond of the cereal (we have tried different kinds too and still not a fan)  so what I have ended up doing is doing both at each feeding...so one bite cereal one bite baby food.  She knows when I sneak in the cereal, I usually get the face from her like "oh mom, this is nasty!" But she gets it down!  So far we have tried all the veggies (carrots, peas, green beans, squash, sweet potatoes)  She loves the sweet potatoes the most, followed by the squash. I keep on thinking, " I can't believe my little baby is already eating baby food!"  She is growing so fast :(
