Every time we are at the mall, we of course HAVE to ride the carousel (we have ventured out from the zebra and are now riding the cheetah!) anyway we always walk by the ice skating rink and Kiley loves to watch the skaters. So we have wanted to take her ice skating for a while now! Well , we finally did it on Sunday...it went ...well , not as well as we thought it would! She started out great and was walking around with her skates on (which I think is hard to do!) but once we hit the ice- she was a little scared. So 20 minutes and $16.00 later we had our first ice skating experience.
Maybe we will wait awhile before we try this again!

Friday fun

Friday night I took Kiley and we hit up the "Family Free Friday" at the mall! Wow. It was. Chaos. But fun none the less. We went for the free carousel rides and free admission to the children's museum. The museum was packed so we didn't stay long (maybe 30 minutes) but it was nice to check it out and we will be making another trip there on a not so busy day :)

Valentine's Day date night

We had a fun night of dinner at Chili's, followed by a trip to the mall to make a build-a-bear!

The little things

It's these precious moments that I wish I could pause life for a little bit! Guess I have to soak them up as long as I can :)

Obsessed with the carousel

Since we now live in the Iowa City area we are taking advantage of some of the perks to the bigger city living ;) bigger mall, better restaurants, etc. Well Target is at the mall so the other morning on a Target run we stopped through the mall to take a ride on the carousel. Kiley chose the zebra to ride and she LOVED it! She talked about it all afternoon! So of course that night after dinner we headed back again so she could ride it with daddy...then we took her back the next day....and then again last night! Haha 4 carousel rides in less than a week! Every time she chooses the zebra , not sure what will happen when the time comes that someone else is already on it!
